World Chess Champion -part2(Final)

Finally a world champion from India after Vishy. Till the last match, going down till the wires, a big blunder from Ding moving his rook to f2 has costed the world championship. Mistake happens, it was not Ding’s day. It was a rollercoaster ride for both of the players. It was just like the Natwest trophy 147/5. People switched off TV, then Kaif and Yuvraj pulled it off๐Ÿ˜Š

Ding had to swallow his words in post match conference, that he made a blunder. He fought tooth and nail till the 14th match. Remember he bounced back on 12th game, when there was surmount pressure on him. What a chill guy he is (hope you get the meme joke ). He looked so relaxed after the match. There was burden of this championship is relieved. He is champion in the hearts โค๏ธ of all. There was lot to learn from him. A gentleman, with no hater, no arrogance, his innate innocence has only gained hearts of million people throughout the world. Hope tomorrow is another day for him!!

One thing to admire here is Gukesh kept on fighting till the very end moment. The entire chessbase was discussing about the draw as it was almost equal pieces. Gukesh was having a extra pawn though. Tickets were sold out for the tie breaker match from chessbase team ๐Ÿ˜Ž. Vishy, Vidit joined the stream also said the game is heading almost to draw unless and until a big blunder happens. It looked like Ding was almost prepared for draw. He was trading pieces. Time was ticking down for him. He had 10 min, but he moved rook f2 in 15 sec. His bishop was at a8. Gukesh spots it and takes rook takes rook, king takes rook, bishop attacks a8 bishop. a1 bishop has no other way but to trade. This makes king pawn game. With a piece up, Gukesh knows he is the clear winner here. Ding played into the hands of Gukesh. Gukesh would never wanted to win in this way. But it is what it is.

The interview with Sagar in 2017, to become the youngest world champion comes true. The question from a reporter “Numerology question: if he can become 18th world champion at age 18” comes true. The emotions held for so long was released after the match. As promised, the entire team was revealed in the post match conference. I would really love to thanks to all the streamer ‘Levi’, ‘Nakamura’, ‘Anish’, ‘Magnus’ etc. who give their opinions post match.

Wait before ending this blog, will we be seeing Arjun vs Guki in future ๐Ÿ˜Ž. Will Magnus enter the arena again ๐Ÿค”? Leave it , let me not bore you guys with my crazy predictions. Let the young lad enjoy his moments.
