10 km marathon run 🏃‍♂️

Booked in a rush, barely a day before, the plan was simple: show up, stretch, and finish. My legs had been battered by weeks of sports, and the left leg especially carried a faint protest. A 5km might have been wiser, but stubbornness won. The defiance compelled me towards the longer odyssey.

The alarm struck at 4:45 am. I slipped into the cab, the city’s veins empty and silent. Bangalore’s roads, usually crawling like tortoises and snails on weekdays 😅, now bowed to me alone. I felt like the ruler of asphalt. Reached the venue(Hsr layout , Atal Bihari Vajpayee stadium) on time.

The time is not mind-blowing but the goal was not speed but survival: no injury, no reckless strain. Pain may lurk at home, but the weekend already feels crowned. A challenge embraced, a distance conquered, a quiet victory etched into the calendar of endurance.

This time I stretched properly, coaxing my muscles awake. At 6:50 am the race began. Twenty minutes of steady rhythm, then a dance of run‑walk‑run. I never stopped, not once, until the finish greeted me at 8:06 am. One hour sixteen minutes , the mission accomplished.

So what’s next ??? 🤔 Do I sharpen my timing like a blade, or dive headlong into the half‑marathon saga.

Do let me know 🙂‍↕️⚡️
